MÁIRE BREATNACH
Máire Breatnach is most definately one of
Ireland's most innovative young composers while also being
one of the country's leading professional musicians.
She displays a unique ability and fluency in many musical
styles but it is her vibrant and varied fiddle and viola
playing that has seen her feature on such records as
"You Made Me The Thief Of Your Heart" sung by
Sinead O'Connor from the soundtrack of "In The Name Of
The Father" and to also work live in the studio with artists
such as Mary Black, Phil Chevron, Donovan, Mike Scott,
Nigel Kennedy, and many others. Her compositions, such as "MÁIRE BREATNACH's #1
and #2" reels are played by other acclaimed Folk Artists from
Ireland, Scotland, and the U.S. Notably she appeared as the original
fiddle star from Riverdance, The Show.
